Rwanda is currently in the Week of Mourning to Commemorate the lost lives in 1994’s Genocide. It is a somber week of reflection. Please keep Rwanda in your prayers this week. May healing take place. May both reconciliation and justice reign. May institutions be built in this generation which proclaims enduring hope.

2. Our prayers for many months have been answered. Gabriel Mugisha Jacobs is home with his forever family and healthy. May God be praised for so abundantly answering our community’s prayers.

3. Our family plans to leave Rwanda on June 4 to begin living in Wheaton, Illinois. It is very difficult to say good bye to Africa’s Great Lakes after 19 years. Our second Graduate Student Dinner & Dialogue is scheduled for Thursday, April 26th. We are praying for the opportunity to connect with 40-45 graduate students for this event—to welcome them into our Center, show them hospitality, invite them to think about the Christian faith, and nurture an ongoing relationship.

In addition to our weekly Reading Groups, please keep these April events in prayer as well:
    • Paideia Forum - Author Meets Critic on Joshua N. They have chosen to enroll at TCM because the format of study allows them to continue to be fully involved in their ministry while pursuing their graduate level education. The students often share stories of how they begin using what they have learned from the moment a course is completed.

A pastor student told of completing a preaching course and returning home better equipped both Biblically to share the gospel message and practically in his method of delivery. Another student shared that he had led a children’s camp the summer before and had modeled its meal service after meal service at Haus Edelweiss.

Equipping International Disciple Makers, preparing European and Central Asian Nationals to go out in the name of Jesus, remains the focus of TCM's ministry. Nine courses in two weeks! God has richly blessed TCM, allowing us to serve in such a way.

An increasing number of European and Central Asian church leaders are applying to become TCM students so that they may be better equipped to serve in their communities. Over the course of the next three years TCM anticipates having more than 1,600 students enrolled. Sending out International Disciple Makers is kingdom work that requires the help of many. Through your enlisting in the GCI and giving financially to assist, disciple, encourage and equip other International Disciple Makers you are joining them as “witnesses…. to the ends of the earth.”

Click here to learn more and enlist in the Great Commission Initiative.

Christ's Church in Rwanda Succession Plan - David Jenkins

http://www.valleycc.org/4/post/2012/03/christs-church-in-rwanda-succession-plan-david-jenkins.html

http://www.valleycc.org/4/post/2012/03/christs-church-in-rwanda-succession-plan-david-jenkins.html#comments

Uncategorized

  [...]

In September of this past year, Jana and I announced that we sensed God had called us to return to the USA to build ROC as a missionary sending organization. Since then a question in many of our minds is succession. How will CCR be led in our absence? If you have been with us at CCR we are preaching a series on “Calling.” In that series you are getting a sneak peak at the Bible texts our leaders have been wrestling through. We have been praying and meeting in small groups and as individuals to craft a succession plan. The time has come to reveal the plan.

CLICK HERE to Read the Entire Article on David Jenkins' blog.

This is your new blog post.
