ValleyFest (August)
ValleyFest is a special Sunday at the end of every summer. Instead of the regular Sunday schedule, we set up for one all-church worship service outdoors (weather permitting). Following the worship service, we have a cook-out picnic on the church grounds. We also set up lots of fun stuff for the whole family. Large inflatables for the kids, a giant water slide, disc golf, volleyball and more. We also make a special effort to invite neighbors, friends, and family to enjoy the day with us.
Lanesboro Camping Trip (August)
Every year we reserve a block of campsites for a weekend in August at the Eagle Cliff Campground in Lanesboro, MN. It's like taking a vacation with the whole church family. Everyone is on their own for schedule and meals. Is alot to see and do: bike trails, yard games, water fun for the kids, tubing, canoeing, shopping, sightseeing, and more. On Friday night we join together for singing around the campfire and on Saturday night we come together for a worship service. For more information, use our contact form.
Pumpkin Patch(October)
Each year on Halloween we gather together as a community and enjoy an alternative to trick or treating. All ages are welcome to join us for an enjoyable evening with lots of games, good food, and fun costumes. The OWLS (Valley's senior adults) help provide some great food for dinner while the teens help run games for the younger kids. This event is open to the community. It's a great night to invite friends and family. We want to encourage all families to bring non-perishable food items to be given to 360 Communities and their food shelves.
Christmas Musical (December)
Each year our children perform a Christmas Musical to help our church celebrate the birth of Christ. We gather together for dinner and then the children perform the program they've been working on all fall. It's always a highlight of the Christmas season.
Christmas Eve Services (December)
On Christmas Eve we have two worship services. Pick the service time that works best for your family. We sing carols, read scripture, and light candles as we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus and give thanks for the wonderful gift of God's love and salvation.
Beauty for Ashes (Ash Wednesday)
Join us for a special time of worship and contemplation as we begin the season Lent and begin our journey toward Easter Sunday.
We'll sing, read scripture, share communion, and remember that our hope for life is in Jesus.
Good Friday Service
On the Friday evening prior to Easter Sunday, we gather together to remember Christ's death. There is a special emphasis on repentance and turning away from sin. All of the songs, scripture readings, and special activities are intended to help us embrace Christ's atoning sacrifice for us, and to remember that we are called to die to self and live for Christ.
Celebrate the Word (May)
At the end of each school year our church presents a very special program we call Celebrate the Word. This program, which involves children, teens, and adults, is a celebration of Scripture through music, recitation, art, acting, and more. You'll be inspired and delighted as our whole church family celebrates God's Word.
All-Church Picnic (May)
Every year in May we make plans for all-church picnic. We have lots great food and make sure there are plenty of fun activities for the kids. Hot Dogs with all the fixing’s are provided. We ask everyone to bring a salad and a dessert to share. Bring your own soda, soft drinks, camp and lawn chairs, too! Look for details about our next all-church picnic on the Upcoming Events page.
