For me, personally, this experience has enabled me to trust in God for the first real time, and I felt in my heart for the first real time that He is so much greater than my circumstances; He transcends it all and he WILL work everything out just as He has planned. I've learned a great deal of PATIENCE as well, as you can probably imagine... and the importance of selflessness. Anytime I have felt weary while here, or felt the tediousness/mundaneness of a task, I stop and remember why I'm doing it in the first place; why I even came here, and that is to serve.
I came here to serve God by serving His people; His people who happen to be disciple makers, and by serving them I am loving them, and ultimately loving God. There was no mistake in coming here, it has been really wonderful – I couldn't have asked for a kinder group of people to work with and serve who have such loving, servant-filled hearts, and in so many ways.
Well, that about wraps up my experience thus far (in a nutshell), but tomorrow is another day... the last full day actually! I think I can speak for all of us though when I say that we're ready to go home, even though this has been such a blessed experience together.
Until next time, Auf Widersehen!
