"Thank You for Your Service"
We hear those words often, "Thank You for Your service", for those serving in the military, our police officers. nurses, doctors, firefighters and anyone else who is serving on the front lines for our country and our well being. There is another group of individuals that have dedicated their lives to serve others first in a whole other capacity. Our Christian leaders both teaching and preaching. But still there is another group who serve mostly unnoticed. Our missionaries both foreign and here at home. I would like to dedicate this time to lifting up our missionaries, preachers and Christian leaders. One in particular is Jose Manuel Gonzalez, our Field Director, Missionary, Preacher and all the other duties he carries out on a daily basis in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. If you could send him a "Thank You for Your Service" note via email or a real letter that would be very uplifting for him. Jose has a heart for serving the Lord. He loves to preach, teach, sing, play the guitar, pray with others before self and much more. At the end of this email you will find his addresses both email and home address. "Thank You for Your Service", Jose Jose thank you for going places that none of us will ever see or even have the opportunity to go. Thank you for preparing sermons and lessons to help people see their need for Christ in their lives. Pray for Jose as he leads a congregation, teaches at the Bible College and oversees the inner city ministry of E.M.M. Finally we want to "Thank You for Your Service" with us for the Kingdom work being carried out by E.M.M. Thank you for caring, thank you for giving and thank you for praying. New opportunities are coming our way and new people are being reached by the message of Jesus Christ. We are proud to announce that Valencio Martinez will begin helping in the office as our new financial director. He will oversee that your gifts are properly cared for and that all financial records kept in order. Valencio came to us at age 7 and now at age 35 he is well prepared to help with the ministry´s finances. Valencio has a degree in Accounting and a Business degree. "Thank You for Your Service" Jose, David and Sheri Field Director: Jose Manuel Gonzalez Facebook: Emanuel Mexico Mission Iglesia Cristiana en Ontañon Valley family,
Happy New Year. We wish you from our heart that 2021, will be full of blessings from our God. The year 2020, was a year full of goals, that with God's help we were able to continue ahead. But just like the majority of the congregations in the world lots of plans were not completed for the year 2020. We had to cancel activities like camps, youth meetings, etc. During 2020, we also saw the hand of God in the activities of evangelism that were more by way of virtual, we were able to begin a program that had the name "Atrevete" (I Dare You) which had the advantage of teaching the Word of God, also it was a program where people shared testimonies through a national level. It has been a success. At times we had to stop the transmissions for the month of December, we were working very hard to gather more material, for both children and adults. Also we began Sunday activities once again in the month of August 2020. We began to evangelize the neighborhood with school lunches with were passed out every Monday, this activity finished when their classes closed for the year (Aug - Dec 2020). Thanks to God and with the help of each one of your families in Christ at Valley, we have completed the installation of the walls that serve as protection for the members of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. We are not exposed to air, cold or excess light that did not permit us to see clearly the person who was in front. Thanks to each of you for trusting in us missionaries to finish this magnificent wall construction project. In this year, 2021, our plan is to disciple the members that we have in the congregation, we have made plans to begin studies in homes. These studies will serve by inviting new people and to listen about Christ and His plan of Salvation. We plan to continue to transmit virtual the Gospel, we are committed with the leaders that are close by in San Luis Potosi to work hand in hand at the camps for youth and adolescents. These last activities depend on the situation of the pandemic here in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. We ask for your prayers for the Mission in San Luis Potosi, and the plans for this year 2021. With the help of God, mostly personal evangelism, discipling and with these complete the desire of our Lord Jesus Christ. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 Once again, thank your for your help during the year 2020, but I want to encourage your to continue helping the missionaries that are on your lists for this year 2021, the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. In this new year 2021, trusting in God, we will continue working for the glory of God. Thank you once more and Happy New Year to our family at Valley. Jose Gonzalez ![]() Valley Christian Church, I want to write to tell you thank you for the offering that you send me every month. As the minister of the Ontañon Church of Christ, I would like to report a growth in all areas. We now have 3 new classrooms (adult, youth & children). The adults grew the most by having 4 the first week & then three weeks later they had 15. We have outreach to the community by a food pantry and a new Christian book club. Our needy neighbors were so happy to receive fresh fruits & vegetables. The book club will meet on Mondays. (one in the morning and the other in the evening). The first book is about Christian Ethics. Again thank you. Sincerely, José Manuel Gonzalez Emanuel Mexico Mission |
